The Latvian city of Pavilosta is expanding two piers in its port. Wire-frame based gravel base has been constructed and covered with prefabricated reinforced concrete slabs. The upper part of the piers had been covered in concrete and navigational signs were installed.
The piers are being extended in order to increase safety of operations and to protect the gates from excessive sand. Key users of this port will be fishermen, small vessels and pleasure yachts. Total value of the project: 2.977 million EUR.
