One of the most unique places in Lithuania, the town of Rusnė now have a new causeway that has solved many its long-lasting transportation issues. The only road leading to Rusnė is flooded 40 times on average per year rendering it impossible to use by passenger vehicles.
The process of construction is well underway – 416 punched poles, 64 columns and 170 overhead beams are now in place. The causeway has also been covered in monolith reinforce concrete panel and concreting works are now completed. The construction is slated to end in May 2019 with a total cost of 9,46 million EUR.
