The largest road and bridge construction company in the Baltics, Kauno tiltai AB, is going to reconstruct the Panemunė Bridge in Kaunas. The total value of works amounts to LTL 85.1 million (excluding VAT). The bridge reconstruction works will last for 30 months.
The Panemunė Bridge is an important part of Kaunas transport infrastructure connecting A. Juozapavičiaus Avenue and Tilto Street. Kauno tiltai AB will take down the old span structure, reconstruct and widen the existing bridge bearings and will construct a new 273 metres long and 20.8 metres wide bridge with a steel-concrete span structure. These works are expected to take almost 3 years. The new bridge will be wider than the existing one and will have four traffic lanes.
