Construction of over 8-km long Palanga bypass is the first project in the road construction sector implemented by way of private and public partnership in Lithuania.
Within 2 years the company will construct a new section of A13 Klaipėda-Liepāja trunk road, which before transferring it to the state ownership will bemaintained for 23 years. During construction of the bypass a two-level intersection near Palanga will be reconstructed. Also, two more one-level intersections will be constructed. The bypass constructed from the town of Palanga will divert the transit transport going in the directions of Liepāja, Klaipėda and Šiauliai. After implementing the project, residents and guests of the resort town will get free from the transport flows; also, traffic jams and environmental pollution will reduce.
