Construction of a new road to Vilnius Airport. IXB transport corridor

Road infrastructure construction Project “Connection of IXB transport corridor (Žirniai str.) and Vilnius International Airport” has been completed within 6 months and was awarded a gold medal at the contest Product of the Year 2013.

Reconstruction of the Jakai Roundabout in Klaipėda, Stage I

During reconstruction of the Jakai roundabout, a four-lane overpass, the longest in Lithuania – 610-metres – was built. It was awarded a gold medal at the contest Product of the Year 2010.

Construction of the Missing Link of Transport Corridor IXB

During construction of the missing link of IXB transport corridor, a 380-m long overpass was built. This project received the highest award at the Outstanding Product of the Year 2008 – a gold medal.

Reconstruction of the Kaunas Railway Tunnel

During reconstruction of the Kaunas railway tunnel built in 1861, a 108-metre long section was rebuilt. This project received the highest award at the Outstanding Product of the Year 2009 – a gold medal.

Bridges and Viaducts

Causeway in Rusnė

Start date: 2018 March End date: 2019 May Value: 9,46 million euros without VAT
The only road leading to Rusnė is flooded 40 times on average per year rendering it impossible to use by passenger vehicles. The process of construction is well underway – 416 punched poles, 64 columns and 170 overhead beams are now in place. The causeway has also been covered in monolith reinforce concrete panel and concreting works are now completed. One of the most unique places in Lithuania, the town of Rusnė will soon have a new causeway that will solve many its long-lasting transportation issues. The construction is slated to end in May 2019 with a total cost of 9,46 million EUR. »

Reconstruction of the Overpass Located at Savanorių Ave. in Kaunas

Start date: 2014 April End date: 2015 April Value: 2,6 million euros
The current Savanoriu Ave. overpass located at the edge of the slope will be demolished and will be build a monolithic supporting wall from bored poles of 60 cm in diameter and 12 and 13 m long. The slope will be strengthened with 12 m long ground anchors and reinforced-concrete slabs in 0.4 km reconstructed section. New street foundations, the layer of asphalt, pavements, sewage network, drainage systems and lighting network will be installed.

Reconstruction of the Bridge over the River Nemunas in Kaunas

Start date: 2012 Januray End date: 2014 June Value: 24,6 million euros without VAT
The bridge in Panemunė will be rebuilt and the current span structure will be replaced by a new steel and concrete span structure on reconstructed supports. The new Panemunė bridge will have 4 lanes and be 20.8 m wide and 273 m long, with the longest span reaching 74.44 m. The steel structures of the beam will be welded on site. Afterwards it will be set up on the river bank and hydraulically hoisted on to the reconstructed supports of the bridge.

Reconstruction of the Jakai Roundabout in Klaipėda, stage II

Start date: 2010 December End date: 2012 November Value: 14,1 million euros without VAT
During the second stage of reconstruction of the Jakai roundabout a 317-metre long overpass in the Kaunas-Palanga direction and a 552 metre-long overpass in the Palanga-Kaunas direction was built. Both overpasses has two traffic lanes in both directions. Their total length - 869 metres. »

Reconstruction of the Raudondvaris Bridge in Kaunas

Start date: 2009 July End date: 2010 June Value: 6,4 million euros without VAT
During repairs the bridge was widened up to 14.6 metres (instead of the former 9 metres). A new bridge was built and the span structure of the old one was demolished, the bridge was provided with a sidewalk and a bicycle path. The works were implemented without closing of traffic.

Bridge A to the Nemunas River Island

Start date: 2009 July End date: 2010 January Value: 2,1 million euros without VAT
The frame bridge to Nemunas River Island is 155-metres in length and 14.6-metres in width. Abutments have been built on reinforced concrete pole foundations. Intermediate steel concrete bearings were fixed firmly in the monolithic reinforced concrete grillage and the span structure. The span structure is a reinforced concrete monolithic hollow slab with transverse diaphragms at the abutments and intermediate bearings.

Reconstruction of the Lazdynai Bridge in Vilnius (the Link of the Trans-European Network- Stage IA of the Vilnius Western bypass)

Start date: 2008 November End date: 2010 October Value: 30,9 million euros without VAT
During reconstruction the bridge was widened up to eight traffic lanes and integrated into the network of western and eastern access street network. Engineering networks, lighting and a trolleybus contact line were also reconstructed; Oslo St. was reconstructed between the Lazdynai Bridge and Erfurto St., and the viaduct across Oslo St. – Laisvės Ave. was renovated. »

Construction of the Missing Link of Transport Corridor IXB

Start date: 2006 September End date: 2009 March Value: 20,9 million euros without VAT
During construction of the missing link of transport corridor IXB a 2.9-km long road was built. Pedestrian and transport viaducts were constructed, 5 km of noise barriers were installed, 4 km of the adjacent transport infrastructure network were reconstructed, bicycle paths and footways were also laid. During construction works Kauno tiltai AB constructed a 380-metre long overpass. Until December 2010 this was the longest overpass in Lithuania. »

Reconstruction of Viaducts and Construction of the Truck Weigh and Inspection Station on the road A1 Vilnius-Kaunas-Klaipėda

Start date: 2008 September End date: 2009 December Value: 7,9 million euros without VAT
The project includes the strengthening of road pavement sand road shoulders on the road A1 Vilnius-Kaunas-Klaipėda, in the sections from 300.95 to 303.14 km on the right side, and from 302.66 to 303.74 km on the left side, repairs of viaducts (303.1 km), and construction of the Truck Weight and Inspection Station.
